Chronicle of Daniel's attempt to the Race to Alaska (www.R2AK.com). A 700 mile unsupported human and wind powered race along the inside passage from Port Townsend WA to Ketchikan AK. My nickname at school was from my last name (Ackermann) ACE -> A-C-kermann - got it? That is origin of the team (one person) name. Building an 18 ft TriRaid 560s sail/row boat with support from Klaus Metz (www.metzboa

ts.de). Obtained sponsorship from Expedition Foods (www.expeditionfoods.com) to provide delicious, highly
nutritious, lightweight, freeze-dried meals to fuel the body. Looking for more sponsors to support the attempt and a meaningful charity to collect funds for. Currently using a self-built Oxford Wherry to get rowing fit for the race.
