5v5v5 scrimmage games on Sunday 9/13/20 at 3pm. Doubleheader. As its a scrimmage lets forget worrying about a perfect male/female balance, and just say first come first serve. I just emailed about reserving fields so Ill specify location soon. It will be fairly cheap for me to arrange all this so if anyone is willing to bring like $5 to help pay field cost, I would appreciate it. Ill keep a list of the first 36 people that let me know they are in. We will attempt to make the teams fair and balanced when we arrive that day, if there's someone you absolutely must play with its fine with me. We all just want to play.
1) We will hopefully have 6 teams, 5 players each. 1 sub would work so maximum 36 people on 2 fields. We can not have more than 5 people in a dugout so if there are 6 on a team, keep 1 outside the dugout until theres space for us to be legal.
2) Teams rotate as follows: 4 OF and C / 4 IF and P / BATTING
3) 4 innings per game, 5 run limit per inning, and the 4th inning we bat whoever is losing first, then 2nd place, then the leader. This format prevents blowouts and keeps games much closer. Worst possible loss is 15-0-0, so not that bad.
4) As its a scrimmage, Im thinking no walks, and each batter gets 3 swings then we move on to keep the games moving. No umpires so we can discuss how to handle close calls. Its just a scrimmage so keep it light!
5) 1st game is team 1 vs 2 vs 3 / team 4 vs 5 vs 6. The 2 winners play against the 2nd place team that scored the most runs. The 2 3rd place teams play against the 2nd place team with the fewest runs. Should make competitve and fun 2nd games at a minimum.
