Busy morning at merwin, but everything went smoothly with low water and not much dock space. There are lots of fish to go around from the surface to 25 feet deep. Great morning testing out some new designs. Hopefully, we will get them on the website in the next couple of weeks.

After that low water event, I couldn't wait to get out there. Was worried about the wind, but it held off. Slow start for me until I finally found the fish. 6 fish caught long lined, and when the top water bite quit, I went deep targeting any schools I could find. 40ft on the downrigger and one rod with 3oz of lead 100ft back finished off the last 4 fish. Caught the biggest squawfish I have ever caught. It was about 4 lbs, and I wish I had taken a picture. Also, I got one really nice kokanee. Hope this is a sign that we might have some bigger ones this season.
