‼️USE MOTIVATION TO BUILD CONSISTENCY AND DISCIPLINE‼️

It all starts with being motivated.
-
When you feel that motivation and the drive to make a change, you spark into action!
-
However, let me give you a little lesson today and how motivation should NOT be relied on.
-
Simply put, it’s because motivation is temporary, and you can't control how often you stay motivated. If your actions rely on motivation, and motivation comes and goes, then so will your actions too.
-
Instead, use motivation to build consistency and discipline!
-
When you build consistency, you build the habit of doing things every single day. Consistency is what breeds results.
-
When you build discipline, you build the resilience to letting your emotions affect your actions. Regardless of motivation, you become disciplined to get things done!
-
When you combine discipline and consistency together, you become unstoppable! It’s a surefire combo to accelerate yourself and see results in what you’re working towards!

‼️Some client highlights from this past week here at ‼️
-
hit a deadlift PR 315lbs for 3 reps! That’s more than twice his bodyweight at (almost) 48 years old!!!
-
My good friend brought his nephews in from India 🇮🇳 to learn how to train! It was such a pleasure teaching these kids about strength training and conditioning! They’re pretty strong too!!
-
I had the pleasure of getting in after her huge race in Mexico!! Olivia races sail boats, and just came off a 2nd place victory in a 600mile race! ThTs badass!! She gets her strength training in when she can as she can be away at sea for weeks at a time! She’s hella strong!💪🏻

My good friend and monster of a human put up a casual bench press of 275lbs for 6 reps!! That’s crazy, and makes me feel weak!!😂😂

🧠Why full body strength training?
-

🗣 Full body strength training is great because in short, it accomplishes a lot at once…
✅ It helps you build lean muscle mass and increase your strength, due to the compound movements and multiple muscle groups being used.
✅ Because you’re doing a lot of work with multiple movements and muscle groups, you’re also going to be burning a ton of calories, which is a great plus if you want to get lean!
✅ Full body workouts tend to be time efficient, due to the fact that you perform 1 to 2 exercises per muscle group. Because of this, it can either be a much longer session, however, there is success in shorter, more consistent workouts. (4) 1 hour workouts are much better than (2) 2 hour workouts. Less is more sometimes.

💪🏻 A full body workout can look like the following…
-Squat/Deadlift
-Press/Row
-Upper Accessory (arms shoulders)
-Lower Accessory (leg curl calf raise)
-Core/Conditioning
💪🏻 The less is more approach not only allows you to get in and out of the gym quicker, it allows you to get in the gym more frequently. It allows the workouts to consistently flow, and with generally less soreness, you are more likely to come back to the gym each and every day!

Lifting weights is one of the best things you can be doing for yourself.

Big shoutout to one of my best friends/long time clients for being my amazing client demo! He turns 48 years old soon, and set a deadlift personal best today of 295lbs for 8 reps. Together, we’ve achieved goals such as building 13+ pounds of lean muscle mass, as well as dropping down to 5% body fat.
