Ford's Fitness Fanatics

Ford's Fitness Fanatics Get fired up for fitness to make a better you. Fitness has been a part of my life in some form all my life. Prior to that, I was doing my own research. Stronger.

It is the one thing in my life that sets me on fire to do better, to be better, and help others to feel better, not just physically, but as a whole person. Helping people change their lives every day in simple small ways gives me my very own “sunshine effect.” I have always had a fascination with the human body, how it moves, how it works from the inside, how to make it run more efficiently. Six y

ears ago, I started my path by going to school for physical fitness and health science. I graduated from that school and had already found work with High Desert Fitness. However, I wanted to take it a bit further and learn physical therapy techniques. I was able to get a job with Ridgecrest Physical Therapy. Working there afforded me an inside view of the way the physical therapy industry works. I found a lot of overlap between physical therapy and physical fitness. What I also found was that we had patients returning, not necessarily because they had stopped practicing their exercises, but that they didn’t know where to go from there or how to progress into physical fitness. My suggestion is the same for anyone that has ever had physical therapy. Take the time, spend a little bit of money, get a personal trainer to get you past the functional level of physical therapy into the physical fitness level of living your best life. After that, you will have the knowledge to be able to work out in a gym and get stronger and healthier. My plan is to go to Loma Linda’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program and then once I am certified, help bridge that gap between physical therapy and physical fitness. I have already been able to help others with my minimal knowledge of physical therapy and my general knowledge of physical fitness. Join me in learning how to make a better you. Healthier. On Fire for Fitness.
