Yes, I lost my weight without GLP-1s or peptides.
I didn’t use either during my weight loss. I did it through a whole lot of hard work, consistency, stubbornness, and some really hard seasons where I had to keep going anyway.
And I’m proud of that.
But I also want to be very clear: that does not mean I look down on anyone who chooses to use a GLP-1 or peptides.
These tools are here. We’re learning more about them every day, and I believe they can have a place for people who choose to use them.
If they had been as available and affordable when I was at my highest weight? I can tell you right now — I probably would have tried them all. There was a point where I genuinely felt like I had tried everything and nothing was working.
Eventually, something clicked. I locked in, changed my habits, learned how to eat differently, started moving more, built strength, and little by little it worked.
And THAT is the part I’m most grateful for.
Not because I did it “the hard way.”
Not because my way was somehow better.
But because I learned habits along the way that I know will help me maintain this for the rest of my life.
So if you choose to use a GLP-1? I’m rooting for you.
If you want to do it through nutrition, habits, movement, and strength training alone? I’m rooting for you too.
I’m your coach either way.
My only advice is this: if you’re using a tool, use the tool to help you learn.
Learn what keeps you full.
Learn how to prioritize protein.
Learn how to strength train.
Learn how to move your body.
Learn what portions work for you.
Learn habits you can keep when the tool is no longer doing all the heavy lifting.
Don’t just use it to eat as little as possible.
Use it to build a life you can actually maintain.
There is more than one way to get healthier, stronger, and more confident.
I’m not here to judge which road you take.
I’m here to help you make that road actually lead somewhere. 💪🩷
