Join Marge on Tuesdays @ 4:15 for Power Down!
Marge (she/her) is a self-described lover of movement (and) language. With a BFA in dance, a minor in Spanish, an Italian contemporary circus arts degree, and an E-RYT 500 YACEP Yoga Alliance credential, her studies, creations, teachings, and performances have blown her all across the globe. Marge began her teaching career by leading preschool ballet and other forms of dance when she was just 15, and has been guiding others into authentic movement ventures ever since. Flipping and twirling since the age of 3, her own technical history comes from a dynamic blend of artistic gymnastics, classical and contemporary dance, hand balance & dance acrobatics circus training, and over 1500+ hours of yoga education. She has had the honor of leading several 200-hour YTT programs and various specialized modules, and has since developed and offered a wide variety of workshops, continuing education, intensives, mentorships, and over a dozen retreats to fellow movers in her community.
After a few years away, Marge is thrilled to be back in Richmond and teaching in her home community. She is especially excited to be rejoining the Humble Haven family and reconnecting with familiar faces while welcoming new practitioners into the room.
When she’s not on her mat, upside down, or rolling around on the floor somewhere, she can likely be found completely horizontal at home — either watching TV with her dog or steeping deeply in a hot bubble bath. Practitioners in Marge’s hands can wholly expect a unique blend of movement, grace, passion, humor, and awakening to one’s own innate artistry. Learn more about her work at www.margarucia.com
