We wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate one of our own, Colin Daniel, who is currently attending the Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts!

GSA is one of Kentucky's most prestigious summer programs, bringing together some of the state's most talented young artists for a month of intensive study, collaboration, and artistic growth. Being selected is a tremendous accomplishment and speaks to Colin's talent, dedication, and hard work.

Colin has already been there for a few days and will spend the rest of the month learning from outstanding instructors, working alongside other gifted students from across Kentucky, and continuing to grow as a musician and artist.

We are incredibly proud of you, Colin! Enjoy every opportunity, make lasting friendships, and soak in every experience. Your Madison Central Band family is cheering you on from home, and we can't wait to hear about your time at GSA when you return.

2026 Band & Color Guard Spirit Stores are now open!

Good afternoon everyone! We’re excited to share the official spirit store link for the 2026 season.

The store includes separate sections for Color Guard and Musicians.

Guard members should make sure to order the red soft practice tee.

The store closes July 31st.

Orders are expected to arrive in mid-August and will be handed out during Band rehearsal.

We will also have a separate store later for this season’s show shirt once the design has been approved. Stay tuned!

Hello band family!! (New and old timers)
We are going to do a clean out and organize at the warehouse this Saturday (5/30) at 9:30am. Wanting to prepare for our new season and create space for front ensemble kids to practice when it rains.
If you’re free, would love you to join us with grubby clothes and dirty hands! 😊

Are you interested in helping the Madison Central High School Marching Band AND getting great exposure for your business? Our band tower is stripped and ready for sponsorships!
These highly visible spots offer a full year of exposure to thousands of drivers, students, and families passing by daily. Here’s what’s available:
$1000 Spots (Edit: 5 remaining)
Front-facing | Highest exposure to the soccer stadium traffic, drop off/pick up lines DBE and MCHS.
$500 Spots (Edit:11 remaining)
Side-facing | Moderate exposure to drop-off/pick-up traffic for Daniel Boone, Madison Central, and Red House Road.
$300 Spots (10 Available)
Side-facing | Medium exposure to Daniel Boone traffic.
$200 Spots (14 Available)
Rear of stadium/back soccer lots | Light to medium exposure.

We had a great Booster meeting on Thursday night followed by some good conversation and Q&A with some of our newer band parents. It was awesome seeing so many additional people come out and get involved!

We will not be holding a Booster meeting in June, but we’ll be back at it in July and are looking forward to another great turnout.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about Band Camp — no matter how big or small — feel free to shoot us a message and we’ll do our best to help. You can also email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) and we’ll get your questions answered there as well.

A few photos we managed to snap from this year’s Band Banquet! What a great night celebrating an incredible season and all the hard work, memories, and friendships made along the way.

A special congratulations to our Seniors — we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where life takes you next. Wishing each of you success and happiness in your next adventure. Once a part of this band family, always a part of this band family!

DCI TICKET REMINDER – PAYMENT DUE BY NOON THURSDAY

If you’re planning to sit with the marching band group for the DCI show in Wi******er, KY on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 7:30 PM, this is your friendly nudge:

All orders must be placed AND PAID no later than Thursday, 5/21/26 at NOON.
If it’s not paid by noon, it’s not going on the group order.

Ticket Info:
- $36 per person
- Group tickets handled just like State tickets

How to Pay:
- PayPal/Venmo
- Cash or check: Put it in an envelope with your name on it and drop it in the drop box in the guard room

On your payment or envelope, include:
- Your student’s name
- How many tickets you are purchasing

If that info isn’t there, we’re guessing… and that never ends well.

Transportation:
Not guaranteed. It depends on options and how many sign up. We’ll look at possibilities once we know our numbers.

NO REFUNDS – SERIOUSLY.
DCI doesn’t offer refunds for any reason (rain, cancellation, etc.). Once you pay, the money is committed.

Set your alarms, write it on your hand, whatever you’ve got to do –
Thursday, 5/21/26 at NOON is the deadline. Tickets will be handed out during Band Camp closer to the show date.

NOW HIRING
The band boosters have a couple of critically important positions we need filled before band camp starts.
Immediate openings:
• First Aid Lead
• Food Lead

We also have a few positions entering their final year, and we would LOVE to have people shadow this season so you can learn the ropes before being handed a radio and told, “You’ve got this!”

No experience required — just a willingness to help support an amazing group of students.

If you’ve ever thought:
“I’m pretty organized.”
or
“I know where the Band-Aids are.”
…we may have a place for you.

Come to the booster meeting Thursday for more information and see where you might fit in!

Payment is thank-yous, gratitude, and the joy of helping 150+ kids have an incredible summer and fall season.
