Today we celebrated Hammerheads Coach Ed Boyle as he wrapped up his final day with SwimRVA before retirement. Ed began coaching at age 18 and has since built decades of experience working with swimmers and triathletes of all levels. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with age group swimmers for SwimRVA Rapids, adults at Southampton Recreation, and has been a part of the SwimRVA Hammerheads coaching staff for over 10 years.

Thank you for all that you have done for SwimRVA, Ed- you are truly the GOAT! 🐐

Today was Hammerhead member Suzanne's last practice with the team before heading down under to compete in the 2025 World Triathlon Championships in Australia! We are so proud of her already and wish her the absolute best as she represents both SwimRVA and Team USA!

"Unfortunately, due to high water, the river will not be safe for the WOW program workout scheduled for Sunday April 21st. Since there is a swim meet scheduled at the pool we will not be able to move the workout indoors. To make up for the missed workout, we are offering a free week of drop-in practice to any Hammerhead workouts next week (Apr 22-27). You can attend as many practices that fit your schedule.

Those workouts are Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 6am as well as Monday and Wednesday evening at 6pm and Tuesday and Thursday at Noon.

Please advise the front desk that you are member of the WOW program and dropping into the re-scheduled practices.

WOW will return to the pool on Sunday April 28th at 9am and then back to the river for May 5.

We apologize for the cancellation but safety is always our top priority."
