June 27, 2026. This Beer Can was a sporty one and likely the quickest race of the season! While we were delayed assisting a grounded boat, the other racers rounded the Bob Klein and had made their way back to the club. We had only left the channel for a few minutes before the final boat finished.

Last weekend RYC hosted the US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Course. Course instructors were Craig Perez and Jana Odou. This cohort worked three full days (mostly 11 hours/day).

It was hard work but very worth the effort.

At this weekend's Volunteer Work Day, over 50 members helped spruce up the Club, seal the West Lot fence, paint downspouts on the harbor master building, clean out the impound yard, trim up the landscaping, and many other tasks. The old leaky events storage container was cleared to make way for a new one. A great BBQ was enjoyed by all.

This club was built for fun, but actually built and cared for by volunteers..thank you for making it a beautiful place to be.

RYC Beer Can, May 27, 2026. Nice steady wind, until there wasn't. Note to self, don't say this will be a quick race. Boats at the end of the fleet didn't have as fast a ride home as expected.
