The Kickstand

The Kickstand Bicycle rentals right on the Virginia Capital Trail, with wide range of adult and youth bikes available. All proceeds benefit the Richmond Cycling Corps.

The Kickstand is much more than the easiest (and coolest) way to get on a bike and explore RVA and ride the Virginia Capital Trail. It's also social enterprise aimed at providing employment for youth in the East End's public housing neighborhoods, while raising funds for the inner-city youth cycling program Richmond Cycling Corps. We offer a wide range of bikes to suit all riders as wells a tools

and mechanic stand available for trail side repairs and adjustments. Also if you forgot something at home or need to refuel we sell some accessories, snacks and beverages you may need to better enjoy your time riding in our beautiful city! During the summer we offer trail side mechanical support (flat repairs, broken chains, etc) through our youth Trail Corps program. Call our number and we will dispatch help to you anytime during our business hours. For Parking, Driving Directions, and Taxi/UBER/Lift etc. USE: 3115 WHARF STREET

SATURDAY OCT 4 THE KICKSTAND WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! Thank you to all our customers and supporters we had a fantastic year and helped nearly 1000 people get out on the Virginia Capital Trail and beyond through rentals and 50+ people with trailside repairs to keep going! We also had 5 different alumni of our RCC programs gain valuable work experience! Thank you! Thank you! RCC is hosting bike month pedal off event! Race head to head sprints on stationary bikes! Who is the fastest in RVA?!?!

We are a little over a week away from kicking off RVA Bike Month with Goldsprints on the big stage of Dogwood Dell!

Join us on Thursday May 1st at 6pm - and bring the fun!

We’ll be showing RCC short films and hosting stationary bike races at the amphitheater.

For a $5 donation to RCC - race your friend in a 1 vs 1 spin-off! We say it every time - its not about power, its about FAST LEGS!

Grab a friend (or two), and plan to join us as we celebrate the start of a great Bike Month in Richmond!
