Ground-based mobility isn't just "stretching"—it is the ultimate expression of underappreciated, real-world strength.
Looking back at this video from 8+ years ago with my friend and local acupuncturist, we might look like a couple of kids just playing around on the floor. But what you’re actually seeing is the foundational strength that keeps a body resilient for a lifetime.
Here is why this style of movement is a true superpower:
True Joint Independence:
Moving effortlessly through the ground requires your joints to handle load at their absolute end-ranges, not just in a rigid, linear plane.
Flawless Nervous System Control:
It demands absolute tension where you need it, and total relaxation where you don't. That transition is the definition of athletic mastery.
The "Kid" Matrix:
Children move like this naturally because their bodies haven't been locked down by chairs, stress, and repetitive patterns. Reclaiming this playfulness is how we reverse the clock.
Lifting heavy objects is incredible.
But if you can’t move, manipulate, and express your own body weight gracefully against gravity on the floor, there’s a massive gap in your armor.
Maintain the ability to play!
