BP Training Races kick off TONIGHT!
Tomorrow is Opening Night at BP and it’s going to be a hot one all the way around!
As always, a sincere thanks to all of you who signed up for the season pass. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to continue doing this event. We also love our day-of racers. Day of fee is $20 if you have a valid USAC license. No license? No problem. You can buy One Day Licenses on site. (Also, our friends at Full Spectrum Racing talked us into reopening BikeReg today until noon if you still want a season pass. https://www.bikereg.com/bryan-park-training-series-season-pass)
As with last year we will be putting on three races each week so our start times are as follows.
B Women will start PROMPTLY at 5:45pm. Please be rolled up to the start line at 5:40.
B Men will start at about 6:20, immediately after the women’s race completes
A Race will start about 7:00, immediately after the B Men’s race
We want to give each race as many laps as possible so throughout the season we will adjust the number of laps based on what daylight allows.
As with every year, we recommend coming out a little earlier for opening night as the first night includes registering all of the season pass holders.
Season pass holders who signed releases on line just need to pick up a number. If you signing up day of and want to save yourself a little time, print the attached waiver, fill it out, sign it and bring it with you tonight. Then you won’t have to fill one out on the back of a teammate. .
Doubling Up. There is no doubling up for the series. You can either race the B or the A, but not both. Likewise, A racers cannot use the B race to warm up.
Numbers. Cutaway has made us some awesome cloth numbers. As with every year, regardless of whether you have a season pass or will be racing week by week, the number you get on opening night is your number for the entire season. KEEP IT. You’ll need that same number every week. Phillip Robb had a shaman priest bless each one to make sure your particular number is exceptionally lucky. You need that assigned number to race. If you lose your number, no problem. We’ll issue you a new one for $5.00. You cannot, however, show up and race with a number from Storming Thunder Ridge or some used cardboard boxtop from the RVA Raceing Underground Series.
Numbers will be on the RIGHT for opening night.
Come out. Be safe. Have too much fun. Bring friends.
And be sure to thank the countless folks who will be out that to make opening night happen:
Thanks again to everyone and see you tomorrow!
