Rockets, if you were waiting for a sign to donate, here it is!❤️

Nearly 1 in 11 kids in the US will experience the death of a close loved one by age 18. While we can’t change that statistic, our Rocket Family can help send kids to Comfort Zone Camp! Donations are crucial to providing free camp weekends to kids. During these weekends, kids get to do regular camp activities while connecting with other children, processing their grief, and building confidence.

We are T-1 day out from our swim-a-thon! Donate before practice tomorrow to be entered in all of the raffles! Practice for 10 and unders is from 8:30-9:30 and practice for 11 and ups is from 9:30-10:30! See you there!

It’s Swim-A-Thon week! 🚀❤️💙💚

On Friday, the Church Run Rockets are swimming to help send grieving kids to Comfort Zone Camp! CZC offers FREE weekend camps to bereaved kids, young adults, and their parents/guardians. At camp, kids rediscover being a kid again with people who “get it”, and learn healthy ways to manage their grief.

There will be music, snacks, prizes and fun as you swim to raise money! Don’t forget to share the donation link with grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors to help you support CZC and CRR! Bring your tracking form (linked in the email!) to the swim-a-thon and you’ll get ONE raffle ticket for EVERY $10 donated on your behalf!

Rockets, we’ve raised over $5,000 in the past! Let’s top it this year!

Meet 3 included swimmers trying out flip turns, new events like breastroke and butterfly, and even doing relays for the first time. We are so impressed by all of our Rockets, but we also have 2 special groups that we want to recognize.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers who swam in their first meet as a Rocket! It’s definitely not easy to do at an unfamiliar pool! We are so proud of them!

In addition, we got to add to our list of Champs qualifiers! Congratulations to this list of 5 swimmers who have been working hard in practice and are seeing their hard work pay off!🚀

We couldn’t forget to highlight our Mini Rockets! We are so thankful to have Anna leading such a successful program! Get to know Coach Anna below! 🚀

“Hey Rockets! I’m Anna Barrett and I’ve been swimming at Church Run for 12 years and have been head coach of Mini Rockets for 2 years now! I just graduated from Godwin High School where I did swim team for 4 years and will be attending William & Mary in the fall where I plan to do club swim! Besides swimming, I love listening to music, spending time with friends, and going to amusement parks!

Some of my favorite rocket memories are all the relays, especially at champs, and all the fun times we’ve had playing sharks and minnows! I’m so excited for the rest of the season, both on Mini Rockets and swim team! Go Rockets!”
