Happy Father’s Day from District 36.

Around this time of year, a lot of dads are spending Father’s Day somewhere near a ballfield — carrying chairs, packing coolers, chasing foul balls, helping with warmups, keeping score, coaching bases, calming nerves, or just standing along the fence hoping their kid knows they’re proud.

That’s Little League, and that’s fatherhood for a lot of families in our district.

To every dad and father figure who shows up in the big moments and the small ones, thank you. We hope you have a great Father’s Day.

Lamar and Needville met Saturday night in a winner-take-all championship game for the 2026 Texas East District 36 8-9-10 Baseball title.

Lamar held on for a 7-6 victory to capture the district championship, while Needville capped off a strong tournament run with a hard-fought championship series.

Lamar Little League’s 10U All-Star team poses with the championship banner after winning the 2026 Texas East District 36 8-9-10 Baseball title Saturday night.

Lamar held off Needville 7-6 in the winner-take-all championship game to complete its district tournament run and earn a spot in the Section IV Tournament.

The 2026 Texas East District 36 8-9-10 Baseball Championship came down to a winner-take-all game Saturday night, and Lamar held off Needville for a 7-6 victory to claim the district title.

The District 36 8-9-10 Baseball championship will be decided tonight, Saturday, June 20, at Lamar Little League.

Lamar opened the championship series with a 14-0 victory Thursday before Needville answered with a 10-4 win Friday to force a deciding game.

Lamar and Needville met Friday night at Lamar Little League as the District 36 8-9-10 Baseball Tournament continued.

Needville earned a 10-4 victory to force a winner-take-all championship game, but both teams gave their families and supporters plenty to cheer for throughout the night.
