Caught 16.59 today moving up to 4th place. Need to find a big bag to move more and finish tomorrow. Day 2 of practice…flat tire on truck. Day 1 of tournament, broken spring on the hot foot (now fixed) thanks for the part Banger. Day 2 of tournament ended with a broken roller and a mobile welder. Thanks Mike. Here’s to day 3.

Dan and I fished the University of Minnesota Bass Fishing Team tournament Sunday on Vermilion. Came up just a hair short but placed 2nd. Most of the fish came on a Northland Fishing Tackle marabou jig and also their Weedless Nedster tipped with a BillyRub Rumble Craw. It was a crazy 2 days with an early morning (4am) rise and fish in Alexandria, then 6.5 hours of driving to Cook with 3 hours of sleep and a tournament. The drive him was a little rough. Fishing with no practice was a fun change up.

Matt and I fished the Reel Team on Le Homme Dieu Saturday and came out of a tough practice and brutal cold front and high winds with a 7th place finish. Made the check line. We are now leading the Team of the Year standings going into the final event.
The Northland Fishing Tackle Weedless Wacky rigged and a BillyRub Skip Stik accounted for 3 of our 6 bass. A jig worm provided our other 3 fish.
