🌿 Nourish & Grow: Prenatal Nutrition

Here's what to expect ⤵️
You are officially cooking up a baby…but what do you cook up to help that baby and your body grow? Eating in pregnancy is about so much more than avoiding sushi and deli meat 😝 Conventional guidance loves to tell us what we shouldn’t eat but what about what we CAN eat?!

In this class, taught by nutrition consultant and birth doula, you can expect to learn about some high level nutrition principles like the benefits and balance of macronutrients; micronutrient needs that increase in pregnancy; how to eat a balanced, whole-food based diet to support a healthy pregnancy (and beyond); and helpful fixes for common pregnancy symptoms.

❗️ We will not be talking about weight, calorie counting, or extreme food restriction (except for those to be avoided for health/safety).

1️⃣ We are going to trial a Restorative Flow class with MJ on Saturdays from 10:45 - 11:45am this month. If it is well attended, we will keep it as a permanent class!

2️⃣ Wednesday morning Pump with Aryana is here to stay!
(And a little birdy told me another early AM class is coming in October... 👀😁)

Curious about our dance parties but unsure of what to expect?? We got you!

Briana has a dance background and I cannot keep a beat 🫣 Will I be able to keep up?
YES! These classes are all about having fun and embracing . Movement will be easy to follow and, more importantly, unserious.

★ Important note: literally no one cares what you look like or what you do 😆 we're just here to have a good time!

What kind of music will be played?
Kid friendly pop songs plus songs that encourage interaction and development. Check out the post for a sample from Briana!

How are kiddos involved?
For babywearing, music and moves are used to create motion that is calming or energy building. We also work on hand discovery and arm/leg movement as well as reaction to facial expressions.

For mobile babies & toddlers we will involve more action songs (think: head shoulders knees toes) and props that facilitate motor skill development. Most songs will be familiar and fun for their ages!
