Fun day at the shop here. We had the mayor of Richfield, Maria Gonzales, lead a ride out of the shop today to show off all the newly completed bike trails in the area. Additionally, all the riders got a rolling tutorial on the planned updates scheduled to begin in the near future. All in all, about 40 riders set out on this beautiful sunny day to enjoy the best Richfield has to offer!

Tires! We have been seeing a lot of customers rolling in on tires that should be replaced. While tread wear is a good indicator it doesn't tell the whole story. These three tiresare all in need of repair, but for different reasons.
The top tire has plenty of tread left, but has dry rotted to the point where a blowout is inevitable.

The middle tire also has heaps of tread left but the sidewalls are breaking down due to environmental effects. the red portion is sticky to the touch and not suitable to be ridden any longer.

The bottom tire has tread (with plenty of thickness remaining) that is separating from the tire carcass. This can lead to a possible delamination of the tire during turning and.... a very bad day.
Remember to review your tires condition frequently, they make the biggest difference in your bicycles ride and can ruin your day faster than any other bike part
