Hello Horse People,
We've not held a work day this summer because the trails remained in pretty darn good shape all year long thanks to last year's work -- and because the park and a few of us volunteers have successfully kept up with downed trees and opened up go-arounds where necessary. And of course, there was a little bit of "it's more fun to ride than work on the trails" going on!
Sara Woodsmith has left the park (good news, she's moving up in her career at DCNR!), and we now have a new Tyler State Park volunteer coordinator, Kristin, who scheduled a work day two weeks from today. Below is a flyer that she mailed out (if you're on Tyler State Park's mailing list, you may have seen this already). In this case, Kristin wants to focus the effort on one of the trails that are popular among us riders - the Neshaminy Creek trail. We would like to encourage you to come out for this work day to help with the relentless job of pushing back the vegetation that is crowding the trail in places.
Because this is coordinated by Kristin, please respond to her at [email protected] to confirm your participation. If you have any questions, you should feel free to reach out to myself, Maryann, or Kristin.
As always, thanks for your ongoing volunteering, support and enthusiasm to give back to this terrific park!

Save The Date, Trail Lovers!
Attention Volunteers!
Reintroducing Trail Crew at Tyler State Park.
Here at Tyler State Park we're thankful to have so many volunteers helping to maintain the trails. Starting this September, we will be asking our volunteers to show their strength and tackle trail maintenance as a team. Thus, were excited to announce our first trail crew day of the year - Sunday, September 24th on National Public Lands Day!
September's lucky trail will be the Neshaminy Creek Trail.
We'll meet by the boat house at 9 AM.
