A team like ours is very difficult to find. A culture full of close friendships and constant fun has been created by this team.

🙌 REPOST💙

A year ago I was tired of being tired, of being my biggest excuse and distraction. I was in my feelings most days. Exhausted by the pandemic and life. Depressed over the loss of my father.

I had to do better to honor myself and my dad. It is the worst thing seeing your superhero parents be sick and struggling. I didn’t want that for him and I don’t want it for me.

So on 10/1/2020 I decided to do better. To eat a plant-based diet, to be healthy, active, & motivated, to be a better human. I wanted to work on my inside and we’ll as my outside.

I worked out almost everyday, started seeing a counselor and therapist, joined several groups in my community, read tons of books (some self development)

I didn’t know what results I wanted besides just feeling better. I wasn’t always consistent. And I still think my mindset is a work in progress, but I am proud of the things I have accomplished.

I am fully plant-based 🌱
I competed in a triathlon 🏊🏽‍♀️ 🚴 🏃🏽‍♀️
I ran a half marathon 🥵
I meditate regularly 🧘🏽‍♀️
I plan my days, weeks, and months better 📆
I have healthy friendships 💜
I am able to honor my dad daily and not be incredibly sad by the loss 🥰
I read more 📚
I sleep better 😴
I am happier ☺️
I am more grateful 🦄

Shoutout to my gym community at BYOB for putting up with my shenanigans and always being supportive. Thank you 🙏

Join us this Monday for our Labor Day workout, “Hotshots 19”.

In memory of the Nineteen members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives on June 30th, 2013 while fighting a fire in Yarnell, Arizona. The Yarnell Hill Fire, ignited by lightning on June 28, 2013, overran and killed the 19 firefighters resulting in the deadliest wildfire ever in Arizona.

It was a great day yesterday coming together to honor those who sacrificed their own lives for ours to be free.

“No man left behind” meant no one rested until all had finished what they came to accomplish.
