While both teams were busy last weekend, there was a third Quin heavy team getting busy in Mexico! Shout out to Toni for helping to organize a great trip!

From what we heard, there was some great rugby played, a positive impact in the local rugby community, and of course some incredible memories!

Who doesn’t love rugby tours?!

What a great weekend supporting some great causes!

Our womxn’s team had a great time hosting our annual Rugby Gala Tournament! Thank you to Dallas Athletic Rugby Club for lending us their field! Much softer than Glencoe!

The men’s team participated in the first annual Breast Cancer Awareness match in Austin! We collaborated on some shirts that basically sold out! With proceeds going to charity. While the match wasn’t a win, the day certainly was.

Fadzai also played incredibly, and deserves recognition for the hard carries, open field tackles, and incredible grit he showed throughout the game.

Thank you to the Austin Blacks for organizing the event. We’re looking forward to doing it bigger and better next year.

Congrats to Nabil on his selection to represent Lebanon in the Asia Rugby Emirates 7s tournament in Jordan!

We know who we’ll be rooting for!

10/21/2026

We’re excited for some fantastic rugby this weekend! The womxn will be playing some prom dress rugby at the Gala Tourney, benefitting Genesis Women’s Shelter.

Meanwhile, the men will be headed to Austin to participate in the first annual Breast Cancer Awareness Match! T Shirts are being sold and proceeds will go to charity! Limited release! Don’t miss out!

Rugby with a cause! Best of both worlds.

This weekend we celebrated Dan’s life. A legend in countless ways.

An amazing player, teammate, friend… and of course, Karaoke Host.

RIP

What an incredible day!

It opened with a TRU-hosted rugby clinic, featuring coaches from Little Rock, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and, of course, Dallas! Thank you to Karla and Jack from the Austin Valkyries for organizing!

The day continued with an incredible nail-biter of an inter-squad match for the TRU Selects, with ~20 Quins representing Texas at Mansfield Texas Health Stadium.

The day was punctuated by (the reason for the season) a fantastic USA win over Italy, with countless rugby fans in attendance.

What a great day for rugby! We hope to put on an even better show next time!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible, including the City of Mansfield and World Rugby!

Almost 20 Quins will be representing the TRU this weekend before the USA vs Italy Match! Don’t miss out! Wendy Young put together a great resource, which we’ll include below!

We’ve been slacking in honoring the personal achievements of our players recently! We love acknowledging when our players get married or have children.

Getting to be a part of our players lives off the field is just as important as on the field.

So, however belated, we want to congratulate these fathers!

Quins had a successful trip to Killeen! It was a strong performance from front to back as we experimented with different players in various positions.

We want to thank Old Skool for hosting us, and fighting til the finish, capping the match with an incredible team try.

Ani is our player of the match, crossing over the tryline more times than we care to count.

Dylan made massive dominating tackles, but also threw up on the sideline… certainly made himself known.

We also want to recognize Eric for playing all 80 minutes of the game, alternating between filling a slot on Old Skool, and getting time with us! He stepped up to help make sure we got to play all 80 in 15s!

Thank you to both OU and UT for a fantastic Friday night thriller! OU won the first side match, keeping the skull for another year! Texas came back and won the second side match!

We also learned some fun history of the event, with Jon Velie placing the origins in 1999, and Scott Stites placing the origins around 1993-1994. Also transitioning from senior sides to solely collegiate sides. Regardless of when it started, we know it’s always a highlight of our year.

The Dallas Harlequins Foundation was also honored to sponsor shirts for our men of the matches, as well as pizza for both teams!

We’re already looking forward to next year!
