Our family visiting from Florida and California didn’t mind the heat at all for Tuesday nights racing, in fact, they weren’t even phased by it. It’s nothing compared to their normal weather, but it sure was a hot one, on and off track for us! Cayden got to show them what kart racing is all about and made their night with 2nd place finishes in both 206 Medium and World Formula!!
Thank you all for joining us! It was great to spend some time with you on your first visit to Wisconsin.

The 2023 race season has officially come to an end with the Road America Karting Club banquet and Cayden gets to add two more Championships to his long list of racing successes this season. It definitely wasn’t an easy season. There was a lot of amazing talent right up there in the front during every single race giving him one hell of a fight from start until the checkers.
Thanks again to our family and friends who came out to watch throughout the season and support our favorite racer. From grandparents Randy and Karen who helped every week to get Cayden and his karts safely to the track, to Superfan Uncle Tom who hardly ever missed a race day, to grandma Debbie who surprised us more times than we can count by showing up unexpectedly on a Tuesday night, to aunt and niece who came to cheer him on; we see you and we appreciate you being a part of our crazy race summer.
We hope to see you all next summer when we do it all over again!

Tuesday night Cayden sealed the deal on his 5th consecutive Championship for the Tuesday Night Series. The points race up to the end of the season was super tight and came down to the final night of racing. Seventeen points in Emily DeMaster’s favor separated the two of them at the start of the night and it could have gone either way, but luck was on Cayden’s side that night. Congrats Emily! You put up one hell of a fight this season and sure did give Cayden a run for his money.

He did not win the feature in 206 Senior or World Formula that night, but he had a hell of a night watching his buddy Colten cross the checkers first for both. Winning is cool, but celebrating someone else’s win is even cooler😎

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Fretwell for helping get Cayden and the trailer to the races every Tuesday night and providing jugs of sweet tea to satisfy his thirst. 😁We appreciate your help this season more than you’ll ever know. To our friends and family, thanks for your support this and every season. We aren’t sure what the plan is for next year, but Cayden will be racing……something.

Earlier this week, we spent a few days in Elk Mound, Wi for the Rowdy Energy Outlaws Nationals. We went into the event feeling pretty confident that Cayden had a good chance of doing pretty well, but we weren’t prepared for the way the cards would fall. Day one was a struggle to find speed until the ultimate end game occurred, with the motor blowing right after he crossed the checkered flag. Without a spare motor, the chances of finishing the 3 day event were slim to none.
Tuesday morning Aaron called around the area looking for a top end rebuild kit. No luck. One final call to Millennium Technologies and we found the pot of gold! Bret made the 4 hour drive to get the parts to us to put the motor back together and hope for the best that Cayden would get to finish out the event. With 30 minutes to spare, Cayden made it out for hot laps, but he couldn’t find grip or speed. After a few adjustments, he gave it his best but came up short and finished the heat in last place. On Wednesday he would have to battle for one of the top 4 spots in the B main to be able to make it to the Big Show.
Wednesday hot laps became a deja vu moment. Cayden crossed the checkers and the motor seized. The event was over for Him. The outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, but through the struggles came a ton of positives. We learned that in the most unlikely of situations, complete strangers as well as new friends will come together to lend a helping hand in hopes that you will succeed. We also had the chance to sit back and relax and watch some pretty great dirt kart racing!

Well, the kid found some speed last night in 206 Senior and swept the night in the class! He just didn’t have quite enough speed to get past Doug for the win in World Formula though. Great racing by all last night, but a big congratulations goes out to Doug for the win! Way to go buddy!
Next week we’ll be “getting dirty” in Menominie, Wi at Thunder Hill Speedway for the Outlaw Nationals and we can’t wait to see what Cayden can do in the Outlaw kart!

Another Tuesday night of racing in the books! A battle to the finish in 206 Senior left Cayden just a little short for 1st place, but the kid’s still smiling. I missed the photo op for World Formula last night because some unbelievable force had them all up on the podium and ready before I made it for a picture. Cayden has a solid 1st place finish in World Formula last night, but there is definitely some competition in that class as well this year!

Rain makeup race at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America on Thursday night. Not too bad with a 3rd place finish in 206 Senior and 1st in World Formula. The 206 Senior feature was definitely a tight fight till the finish!

Another Tuesday night of racing at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America in the books for Cayden with a 1st place finish in 206 Senior and a solid 2nd place in World Formula. Congrats to Colten on the big win in World Formula! Way to go buddy!!!!
Cayden is racing at Thunder Hill on Wednesday night in the Bret's Towing and Auto Repair 250 Outlaw Kart and will then be back at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America on Thursday for the rain makeup race, provided the rain holds off. It’s a busy week of racing for the kid, but he’s out there doing what he loves ❤️

Last night was a first for Cade ² racing the 250 Outlaw karts at Rice Lake Speedway and both boys did great! We thought our night was over when it started raining two feature races before ours and we headed back to the trailer to pack up. We were just about to push the karts in the trailer when we were told that they were gonna try to get the features in after the rain cloud passed. Within an hour the boys were on track for the feature!! After a few yellow flag laps and restarts Cayden F. finished 3rd and Caden J. finished 4th!

The track was a little smaller than the boys would’ve liked to race on, but we all definitely learned a few more things about dirt track racing.

We’d like to send out a huge thank you to Bret and Kelly Graf of Bret's Towing and Auto Repair for making it all possible. These karts are hella fast and everyone loves the wrap on them!! You can definitely see when Cade ² is coming up on you.

Tuesday Night Series Race #3 at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America was a success! Cayden definitely struggled early on last night , but found great speed when it counted the most! He came away with 1st place finishes in both 206 Senior and World Formula! Neither race came easy for him though. There’s definitely some great competition in both classes.
