Nothing beats fresh Eagle Lake, ONT Northern for dinner! Lost one musky. Was jumping all over the place and threw the hooks. Steve had a nice one follow! I will download video tonight off the GoPro.

Last night of Monday Night Muskie League our team got it done. We were in last place up until last week. Two fish last week for 2nd and 3rd place. This week 3 fish for 1st, 2nd and 4th place. I missed getting third because my fish was caught 30 minutes later. We should have solidified 5th place for sure. Maybe even got 4th. We shall see. Not to bad of a come back considering we were down a boat all season long. Another great year of fishing Monday Night League.

Change up from Musky fishing. Down here in Menasha helping clean up from the Monday EF3 tornado. It’s been a while since I had my chainsaws out.

I was happy to guide Michael to his first ever Musky! First ones are always special no matter what. He’s hooked now and headed down the dark path like the rest of us. Endless gear, lures and fishing trips.

Landed a nice 36.75 tagged musky the other day after work. Not running any day trips until this heat wave goes away and water temps fall back down. May try some midnight to 7am trips if night time water temperatures allow. Switching gears to walleye and/or bass this week.

Did an early morning trip today before water temps got too high. Only fish we got today was one slimy Northern and one musky follow. Michael and his son still had a great day in the boat with lots of on the water education. Water hit 80° by noon and we got off the water. Switching it up to walleye and bass until it cools back down. If temps cool off after midnight I might consider doing some late night until sunrise trips. If you want to fish midnight to 7 am hit me up.

I have been musky fishing for over 35 years now and have seen lots of changes in the industry. I used to use 100lb fluorocarbon leaders. I switched back to straight wire leaders with solid o rings to split rings to lure connection. I feel like when pulling rubber baits in and they drop on the pause I have a better chance the musky will not bite through like they can with fluorocarbon. What do you use? I also got away from snaps.

July is upon us! Top water and bucktails will be on fire for sure. I landed this brute on a Mepps Musky Maribou the first week of July two years ago. Call or text to book a July trip with me in search of these giants. Spots are filling up fast!!

Logan had some fun on our short evening trip after a long day of work. We landed a handful of nice Northerns and missed one nice musky boatside in the 8.
