Brambleton Ladies Golf League

Brambleton Ladies Golf League We are an 18-hole ladies league open to women golfers of all levels.

We play on Monday mornings from April through October at Brambleton Golf Course in Ashburn, VA.

We are having an 8am shotgun start tomorrow then moving tee times to 7:30 the following week and for the rest of the summer. Stay cool everyone!!

We collected 104 pounds of food yesterday that was donated to Loudoun Hunger Relief. Thanks to all who contributed!!

Hey everyone, hope you are getting in touch with your inner flower child and getting ready for tomorrow! We will be selling raffle tickets and mulligan packages and will be taking cash or checks for those if you're interested. We have some fantastic raffle items including tickets to the Quicken Loans Tournament, hotel packages from the McLean Hilton and some great theme baskets! Also we will be collecting non-perishable food items for Loudoun Hunger Relief and giving one free raffle ticket to anyone bringing food donations. See you all tomorrow!

Just to let everyone know, the deadline to register for the invitational tournament will be a week from today Friday, June 16th, so if you haven't gotten your forms in, send them in! If you want to play but don't have a foursome, we have some twos and threes that could use another golfer or two to complete their group, so go ahead and register and we will hook you up!

Happy June everyone, we are getting excited about the invitational tournament coming up! Get your registration forms in, there is a copy attached to the event here as well as on the league website www.brambletonladiesgolf.org. The course will be lifting their golf attire requirements for that day, so if you were hoping to wear bell bottom jeans and a halter top to the tournament, you are in luck!! ☮️

June 15, 2015 -TEAM TOURNAMENT - WHACK & HACK
SHOTGUN START - 8:00am

Everyone plays their own ball for an individual Net score.

For each hole, two individual Net scores are combined for a team score.

The scores that are combined are the low Net and the high Net. So if - on a Par 4 - four players score 4, 5, 6 and 7, the team score is 11 (4+7).

EXCEPTION: If the low ball is a BIRDIE or better, the team gets to use the two LOW balls. (So if - on a Part 5 - four players score 4, 5, 6, and 7, the team score is 9 (4+5).

Team with the lowest score wins!

Results - June 15, 2015 - YARDAGE POINTS
Each hole of the round is worth a set value based on the length of each hole. If you get a net par on the hole, you get a point for each yard. If you get a net birdie, you get double the yards. If you get a net bogey, you get 1/2 the yards. If you get a net eagle, you get four times the yards. Example: Hole #1 is 302 yards. Net par = 302 points; net birdie = 604 points (302*2), net bogey = 151 points (302/2), net eagle = 1208 points (302*4). Person with the most points wins.
