Get ready for the Simon Cup!

This is it: the 2026 Simon Cup tennis tournament is coming! Who will take home the trophy? The 2026 Simon Cup is spread across two days and two courts.

Join us on October 17 for the Singles Tournament and on October 24 for the Doubles Tournament, both held at the Lake Newport and Hook Road tennis courts.

The lights at the Glade Tennis Courts are not operational due to an electrical issue. The staff is aware of the situation and is currently working to find a solution. We will provide updates here as they become available.

Way to go, Susan!

Earlier this week, Reston tennis legend Susan Gartner won the singles and doubles titles at the Level 1: USTA National Women's 35-85 Grass Court Championships held at the Germantown Cricket Club in Philadelphia.

While competing in the 85 & Over age group, Susan dominated in the singles final with a score of 6-1,5-1(retired). The day after, in the doubles final, she won 6-4,6-2. In recognition of her achievement, Susan received two encased miniature gold balls on behalf of the U.S. Tennis Association.

FYI!

Shadowood tennis courts will be closed to the public until further notice. RA is currently assessing the work required to remove a tree from Courts 3 and 4. In addition, a review of the perimeter fence line will be conducted to identify any other trees that may pose a safety risk.

FYI…

Autumnwood Court users: A recent power outage caused multiple light fixtures at Autumnwood Court to fail. The two lights near the entrance have been repaired, but four lights in the middle of the court and one on the tennis court side are still not operational pending underground repairs. We will keep you updated on the status of repairs.
