Help us make Halloween SWEET for our community!

We’re collecting candy at donation sites throughout the Y to make our FREE Trunk or Treat on October 30th a spooktacular night for local families!

Donate candy: Drop off a bag (or two!) at one of our candy collection sites featured in this collage.

Decorate a trunk: Want to be part of the fun? We’re looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks, hand out candy, and help create unforgettable Halloween memories for our community!

Every donation, every decorated trunk, and every helping hand makes a difference. Let’s come together to make this Halloween full of treats, smiles, and community spirit!

Yesterday, community came first! 💛 We hosted the 2nd Health & Wellness Expo in partnership with the Greater Reston Chamber , bringing together so many incredible local leaders, wellness experts, and neighbors dedicated to living well.
From holistic health insights to incredible local resources, seeing our Reston community gather to support personal well-being and local business vitality was nothing short of inspiring.
Huge thank you to everyone who dropped by, our fantastic vendors, and the Greater Reston Chamber for another successful year of connecting, thriving, and growing together! 🌿

Falling into memories one field trip at a time!

This year our Early Learning Center went on their fall field trip to explore, play, and have fun! They got to interact with animals they wouldn't normally see in their backyards, make some corn angels, and launch themselves into the air.

Time with our friends, and family outside of school & home provide impactful and lasting memories which shape who we become. Developmental milestones are crucial for our Early Learners and we welcome our families to join in the classroom and during special events like field trips, art shows, and concerts.

Bridging generations and making sweet memories! 🧡🎃 We had such a wonderful time today at the Herndon Senior Center for the Senior-Treat event. Seeing local seniors hand out treats from their festive tables and connect with young families was truly special. Thank you to Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services for organizing such a heart-warming event for our community! 👻✨

Yesterday marked a memorable milestone for the YMCA Fairfax County Reston as we were officially recognized by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in honor of our 25th Anniversary.
Supervisor Supervisor Walter Alcorn and Chairman Jeffrey C McKay presented our leadership team with a joint resolution celebrating a quarter-century of public-private partnership, community advocacy, and dedicated service across youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
We extend our sincere gratitude to county leadership for their continued partnership, and to our staff, board members, volunteers, and community partners who work tirelessly to ensure our Y remains a hub of opportunity and belonging for all.
