Most people think preventing Alzheimer’s is out of their control.

Genetics. Aging. Luck.

Most people think fat loss is about “working off” what they eat in the gym.

HYROX NYC ✨

My ✌🏼 HYROX Singles race ever, and my only goal was to beat my time from last year’s NYC race.

After spending the last eight months training for Pro Doubles, I didn’t give much thought to the Open Singles race. I figured it would feel easy after racing with the heavier Pro weights two days earlier. I was very wrong.

What I underestimated was the residual fatigue from the Pro race. My run splits were slower than planned, the course was packed, and I spent a lot of time weaving around runners. The stations felt strong, and the weights moved well, but nothing felt easy.

At one point, I reminded myself: I’m doing this for fun, and this is fun. That simple thought carried me to the finish.

One of the highlights of the race came at the wall ball station where I completed 100 wall balls unbroken. Ironically, the few seconds it took to receive the white flag for the accomplishment ended up being the exact margin between first and second place. I’m still hoping HYROX gives me those seconds back!

Regardless, the unbroken wall balls are one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. They represent years of hard work, consistency, and showing up day after day.

And now it’s time for the next challenge. I’ll be stepping onto the Pro Singles course this fall—better prepared, a little wiser, and ready to see what I’m capable of.

That’s what I love about this sport. It has a way of humbling you, inspiring you, and making you want to come back for more! 😜

Thank you Mom and Dad and girls for cheering me on! You carried my through this race more than you know❤️

WE FREAKING DID IT! 🏆

8 months of dialed-in training. 8 months of Amy enduring my craziness with workouts, nutrition, run splits, race strategy, and my full-blown HYROX obsession.

For the last 8 months, almost every decision I made revolved around training. Early alarms. Track sessions. Long runs. Recovery. Fueling. Family schedules built around race prep. And god damn, it was worth it.

What you see is two women standing on top of a podium.

What you don’t see are the countless hours of work behind it. The early mornings. The hard conversations. The sacrifices. The days we didn’t feel like training but showed up anyway. And the families who supported us through every mile, workout, and race weekend.

This podium represents so much more than an age-group win.

It’s proof that consistency works. It’s proof that discipline beats motivation. And it’s proof to other mamas that you can have a full-time job, raise a family, take care of everyone else, and still chase big goals of your own.

Amy, I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Thank you for trusting the process, embracing the crazy, and showing up day after day.

And Greg... thank you for supporting every crazy idea, every early morning, every race weekend, and every time training became the center of our lives. None of this happens without the people behind the scenes holding it all together.

A huge thank you to Jackson for teaching me that sometimes the key to getting faster is slowing down first. That lesson changed everything.

We still have plenty to work on, but right now we’re going to sit here and soak this one in.

Because this wasn’t luck.
This wasn’t fate.
And we didn’t just manifest it.

We worked our asses off for it. Time to celebrate until we dial it back in! ❤️
