We successfully tracked the large feline, known colloquially as the “Ol’ Saber-Tooth”! Upon discovering its tracks, I enlisted the expertise of Guide Cody Masingale and his skilled canine team, whose assistance proved invaluable once again. Having collaborated effectively just days prior, it was logical to reunite our efforts. Although the cold track presented a challenge for the dogs, requiring considerable effort to regain the scent, their determination remained unwavering. Throughout the pursuit, Cameron Madsen provided crucial support, utilizing his exceptional tracking abilities to locate the trail and keep the dogs on course. His adeptness in navigating challenging terrain was instrumental, and his real-time updates were invaluable. The culmination of our efforts was marked by the dogs successfully catching up to the giant tom, a feat that elicited immense satisfaction for all involved, particularly given the remarkable achievement of the canine team. I extend my congratulations to Brian Martin on this extraordinary accomplishment, securing a once-in-a-lifetime trophy on the final hour of his last day.
