Dragons Gate TSD is ran under the instruction of Justin C. Bailey, whom is a Sa Dan (4th degree) Master instructor. Bailey also has his wife, Domonique Bailey (Niquey) and two sons, Jarrett and Liam in the venture with him. Bailey started his training in Tang Soo Do in 1984 at Pine Middle School under the instruction of Master John Bennett and the World Tang Soo Do Association which was under the
direction of Grand Master Jae C. Unfortunately Grand Master Shin passed away in July of 2012 with leadership being handed over to Grand Master Beaudoin. Bailey trained and was awarded his Cho Dan (1st degree) black belt in 1988. He then received his E Dan (2nd) degree in 1996. After a hiatus from TSD (due to marriage, college and arrival of new family members), Mr. Bailey received his Sam Dan (3rd degree) in May of 2012 and his 4th Dan Masters certification in 2016. Bailey, Dragons Gate TSD and students have made some amazing and exciting changes. The most significant and prosperous change is the acceptance into the Universal Tang Soo Do Alliance under the leadership of Grand Master Khalid. It is with their unbelievable strength, knowledge and encouragement that we have decided to go ahead with this move. We could not be more honored and privileged to become a part of such an amazing organization. Khalid 9th Dan, began his martial arts training in Korea in 1970 after meeting Master Frank Waller while they were stationed at Osan Air Force Base. Their instructor was Master Chun Sik Kim. He also studied with Master H.C. Hwang, the son of Grand Master Hwang Kee, the founder of modern Tang Soo Do. Grand Master Darryl Khalid is very involved in the healing arts as well as the martial arts of the East. In 1987 Grand Master Jae C. Shin, president of the World Tang Soo Do Association honored Grand Master Khalid with the highest honor in the organization as "Master of the Year". Due to his dedication and hard work he traveled with Grand Master Shin to China where they placed the first non-Chinese monument at the Shaolin Chinese Temple in 1988. Elected in 1990 Grand Master Khalid served as Chairperson of the self-defense committee for the World Tang Soo Do Association. He developed and standardized armed and unarmed self-defense techniques for instructor training throughout the world. From 1988 thru 1997 Grand Master Khalid traveled throughout the United Stated and Mexico as a Senior Master and ambassador. The highlight of this mission of love was a diplomatic tour of Magadan, Russia where he introduced Tang Soo Do to the local police and Russian schools. Grand Master Khalid was the Defense Tactical Coordinator for Glendale Community College Police Reserve Academy from 1978-1982. Grand Master Khalid has been particularly dedicated to developing local, national and international Martial Arts Masters. On September 4, 1997 Grand Master Khalid formed the Universal Tang Soo Do Alliance for the enhancement of Tang Soo Do and its traditional principles.
