Hey there fish fam and fish friends! Eric, Warren, and I are excited to announce some info related to the fast approaching 2024 season.

First order of business is tryouts:

May 4/5 open tryouts at Cramp Up tournament in oregon
May 8 (Wed 6:30-9:30) open tryouts at Idlewild
May 11 (Sat time tbd) closed tryouts at Reno High
May 15 (Wed 6:30-9:30) closed tryouts at Idlewild

Every Wednesday night in April leading up to tryouts at there will be pod at Idlewild (check slack for times), we highly encourage anyone in town to attend these.

Second order of business is practice schedule:

Wednesday nights 6:30-9:30 at Idlewild
We are very excited this year because we have been told we can have the same day/time all season long for practices!

Additionally, once the season starts, we intend to have one weekday and one weekend pod a week and expect all local players to attend at least one per week. Locations/times tbd.

Third order of business is tournament schedule:

*Cramp Up (Oregon) - May 4/5 *(open tryouts)
Solstice (Oregon) - June 22/23
TBD - early July
SFI West (Washington) - July 27/28
Ski Town (Utah) - August 17/18
Sectionals (NorCal) - September 7/8 OR 14/15
Regionals (Southwest) - September 21/22 OR 28/29

It's been a long off-season but the fishies are starting to spawn and swim upstream! We will hold an open tryout tomorrow at 6:30 PM at the Idlewild Softball Fields #3! Captains will be there about 6 if you want to come early and ask questions. If you can not make it but still are interested in being part of the team please let us know and we will see about making accommodations for the closed tryouts. See You Out There!

Last weekend Cutthroat competed at SW Regionals and entered the tournament seeded 9th. Not only did we break seed to finish 5th, but we also qualified for Select flight! We are always impressed with the hard work all these wonderful fish put into each season and we look forward to 2020! Always swimming upstream! 💚🐟

Last weekend we hosted Truckee River Ultimate Cooldown and it was a successful tournament thanks to the teams who joined us in Truckee and all of our wonderful sponsors! Thank you FiftyFifty Brewing Company, Wetlab - Western Environmental Testing Laboratory, and Yogurt Beach for sponsoring TRUC! A huge thank you to our phenomenal Chef, David George for cooking some amazing food for 220 hungry ultimate players and Martin Swinehart for helping out!! You all helped make this an awesome tournament! We 💚 this community!
