Another brother gone too soon! RIP Bull!

Jeffery Roy (Bull) Davis was born on April 7, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to parents Jerry and Judy Davis.

He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children, on October 10, 2024. Jeff was 56 years old.

Jeff grew up in Mason Valley and graduated from Yerington High School in 1986. During high school, Jeff participated in football, wrestling, and FFA.

He also volunteered at the Mason Valley Fire Department. Upon graduation, Jeff attended TMCC and completed the Fire Science program. Jeff continued to be a volunteer firefighter for the Mason Valley Fire Department, also joining the Churchill Fire Department.

Jeff landed his dream job at NAS Fallon and created a career for over 32 years serving his country in the U.S. Navy, officially retiring in December 2020. Jeff was quite active in the Mason Valley community. He served as a long-term member and past president of the Yerington Lions Club, a member of the Mason Valley Trap Club, and the Mason Valley Archery Club. Jeff moved to Fallon, where he lived from 2015 to 2022, retiring in Hawthorne, Nevada, in December 2023.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outside, and getting lost in the breathtaking scenery of Nevada. Jeff’s unexpected and sudden passing followed his own mother’s passing by less than two weeks.

In addition to his mother, Judith Ann Davis, Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Davis; sister, Julie Davis (Veil); and nephew, Austin Morgan. Jeff leaves behind his three children: Michaela Davis (Christian Stadtman), Vincent Jerry (V.J.) Davis, and Angelina Davis.

The family will not be holding a service but instead asks that donations in his memory and name be made to the Mineral County, Lyon County, or Churchill County fire departments. Family and friends are invited to sign his online guest book at www.FRFH.net.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, 25 Hwy 208, Yerington, NV 89447, (775) 463-2911.

Join Washoe County K9 Partners President Diana Lee as she discusses the exciting launch of the new Washoe County K9 license plate on KTVN 2 News! Proceeds from the license plate will go directly towards the new K9 training facility and support for the K9s.

Additionally, don’t miss out on the upcoming K9 Partners yearly calendar! Last year, they sold 500 calendars, and this year, I aim to help reach an impressive 1,000. I helped with the photography and am very proud to assist with this project! Let’s make it happen together!

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we share the news that a REMSA Health colleague and team member of both the Care Flight and dispatch divisions passed away earlier today. As we work through this difficult time, we are grateful to our co-response partners for their support, as well as the organization’s providers, dispatchers and staff who continue to care for the communities we serve, especially in the midst of something so hard. Please keep our colleague’s family and team members in your thoughts.
