Today also marks 55 years since Corky, Northern Resident orca A23, was taken from the water. In 1969, multiple orcas were rounded up, trapped in a pen, and sold into a life of captivity. Today, Corky is the only living orca from the group of 6 who were sold that day, and she remains in captivity at Seaworld.

55 years of living in tanks instead of open waters. 55 years of being deprived of her pod. 55 years of her life stolen from her.

In 1969 we did not know much about orcas, their matrilines, and their deep familiar bond. Today we do and that's why it's important that we end the cruel practice of captivity for entertainment.

Hey old friends! I sure miss this event and all your friendly faces!
Today I am reaching out to anyone that is involved in a local or state bowling association that may have expired funds in their SMART accounts.
I have been donating mine to different charities but have a special request to ask you help out the Fresno State Bowling Team. They are a Club Sport so they do not receive any funds from the school. The Coaches are also volunteers. Everyone must fundraise for travel and other expenses.
SMART funds can be transferred directly to the students. It's easy and only takes a few minutes to make a big difference in their struggle to pay for their education and their Bowling.
Please ask your local association to check and see what their SMART account looks like and if they are sitting on a pot of gold. It means alot to me and to them.
