Move With a Purpose on September 1st!

Kick off September with purpose at Your Body Pilates!

On Sunday September 1st at 9am, we’re hosting the first of many donation-based classes for the entire month of September as part of the nationwide Pilates For A Purpose initiative.

All proceeds from this class (and all classes taught through PFAP in September) will go directly to Boosted Dipolmas a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering foster and at-risk youth in our community through tutoring, educational advocacy and college/career coaching!

How to Get Involved:
Attend Our Class: 100% of class donations go to Boosted Diplomas.
Donate: Direct donations are welcome.

Announcing our August charity, ❤️ Connecticut Parent Connection is committed to addressing the problem of substance abuse directly and is dedicated to helping increase awareness through education. CT Parent Connection offers a compassionate, family systems approach, providing holistic programs to educate, empower, and rehabilitate families. Their support groups are open, free and all are welcome.

Join us in person or via zoom this Sunday, August 4 at Your Body Pilates! Can’t join this specific class? Not to worry! Pilates for Purpose will be hosting all month long with a variety of virtual classes to raise money for their amazing work!

Williams Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that is characterized by health issues including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays and learning disabilities. interestingly, a person with Williams syndrome can also have a highly sociable personality, advanced verbal skills and a passion for music. Blue lobster donates 100% of proceeds to Williams Syndrome related causes.

We would love to see you Saturday July 13th at 8am PST for an inspiring donation based class in honor of Gretchen’s dear friend passing, Sean Viator. We have once again partnered with and will have a QR code for donations at the front desk. If you can’t attend class in person and would like to join via Zoom, please visit pilatespurpose.org to sign up. If you can’t join us and would like to donate anyway, please visit pilatespurpose.org and specify Sean in the donation notes.

Join fellow University of Arizona School of Dance alumni and dance enthusiast Gretchen LaWall in a Pilates class celebrating the life of Sean Viator. Through the University of Arizona and beyond, Gretchen had the opportunity to dance across the country and the world with Sean. Before many shows, Gretchen lead Sean and friends through a fun and challenging Pilates warm up. Sean was an incredible and vibrant dancer, teacher, and friend and we’d like to invite movement lovers from all over to help us honor his memory. All donations will be given to a scholarship started in his name at the University of Arizona.
