This year was a good ice fishing round. In the beginning of the season we had low snow and cold inversions at night, so access and ice build up was epic. We were able to fish areas that I have not been able to get to in the past, so it was fresh in many ways. February was inline until we got what seemed like a full winter lockdown. It was a lot of work, snow like that makes access very difficult, and insulates the snow potentially ruining the ice below. After 6 days of snow removal, creating paths, uncovering vehicles, it started raining. Everything we gained was gone in two days. The creeks and rivers influxes with water - filling our reservoirs - breaking the ice from the shore and creating even more danger to access. So it ended fast, reely fast. The ice is holding on too, there is ways to do it, but not worth the risk. Plus everything around is looking primo.
