I'm also an outdoorsman, this gives me opportunity for realistic testing in real life. I'm very proud to have knives overseas in the hands of our troops. And I Pray the Lord is with them as they fight the evil in this world. I've had the opportunity to teach wilderness survival and bushcraft for many years. Come forge your own blades!
🔥Fundamentals of Forging Blades Class In Fort Worth, TX
• Classes Make Great Experience Gifts!
(This is a great place to start if you’re new to the craft.) This is an introduction to my process of forging blades
Come learn hands on with a ABS certified Journeyman smith.
All tools and materials are provided.
No experience needed.
This will cover everything you need to get started forging blades.
Learn the tricks of the trade of Bladesmithing
I will show you how to forge the entire blade to shape including
•Tip
•Profile
•Bevels
•Tang - hidden tang and full tang.
•Straightening Tips and Tricks.
•Basic knife design,etc

This is a one day class
7am-6pm
$300 per person
10 hrs. of hands on learning
Each person will make two blades to take home.
This will include step by step demonstrations, Hands on forging/Instruction, Learning how to move the steel where you want it to go and using the right tools for the job.
We are going to be forging two different style blades.
One drop point and one style of your choice.
Step by step from establishing the tip, isolating material, drawing material, forming the tang. (Full tang and hidden tang)
Basics of using spring fullers to make different shapes, profile refinement and forging basic bevels in.
I love sharing the craft, This is my passion!
My Bladesmithing journey began in 2002.
This is a great way to give forging a try with all the right tools in one place without having to spend thousands on the trade before giving it a try. This is also a good opportunity to brush up on the basics of Bladesmithing if you’ve already forged a few blades.
If you’ve already taken this class and/or would like to go deeper into forging please ask about the intermediate forging class
