We specialize in rafting and tubing on the Hiwassee River. Our campground and retail store make our facilities the only destination where you can have it all in one beautiful place!The Hiwassee River is 5.5 miles of class I and II whitewater with one low level class III rapid at the end of your trip: "Devil's Shoals". It will take roughly two and a half to three hours to complete. Hiwassee Outfitt

(Guides are available by request.)Hiwassee Outfitters has the largest fleet on the river including rafts, inflatable kayaks, and tubes. We have A "Puma" which holds 4 to 5 people. We also offer single or double inflatable kayaks or "funyaks", and tubes. Hiwassee Outfitters imposes no age or weight restrictions on rafts or funyaks.We leave that up to the best judgement of parents and guardians. However, all tubers must be at least 12 years old due to the prolonged exposure to the cold river water.

We’ve got a handful of 2-man duckies up for grabs! These boats are in great shape and ready to hit the water. They are $800 each.

This past week, one of our boats was stolen. What happened next reminded us just how incredible our community is. ❤️

THANK YOU to everyone who shared our post, kept an eye out, sent us information, and helped spread the word. Thank you to Polk county sheriff’s department, state park rangers, our amazing staff, and the best community! We truly could not have done it without you all!

Extra big should out to our ring camera!! With so many people willing to help, we were able to get our boat back!

🚨 THEFT AT HIWASSEE OUTFITTERS 🚨

At 5:00 AM this morning, someone stole one of our blue Air Tandem Kayaks with “Hiwassee Outfitters #8” on the side.

Does anyone recognize this man or this truck? If you do, or if you see this kayak anywhere, please send us a message.

We’re a small, family-owned business, and theft like this really hurts us.
