Another drive across the bridge to Delaware for Stellar Fights and another win in the books for Xavier Howard
Xavier returned to the cage after a year layoff and plenty of growth was shown during his debut. X came out the gate fast and hard, landing a cross in the opening seconds that staggered his opponent across the cage. He followed up with a huge takedown and a flurry of ground and point within the first 30 seconds of the bout.
After his opponent defended well, working his way back up to his feet, X landed a trip off the fence and followed up with more strikes before finding his opening to advance. After halting another stand up attempt, Xavier smoothly transitioned to take the back and almost immediately began to look for the finish. After a few seconds of hand fighting, Xavier locked up a rear naked choke to secure the tap about halfway through the first round.
It was an impressive and violent return to competition, with a ton of offense inflicted from the Red Corner in a fight that barely lasted 100 seconds. Excited to keep developing and building on the momentum, and we can’t wait for the next opportunity for “Weapon X” to throw on the gloves for his next challenge. Congrats X on another successful showing!
