The ‘Pot Luck’ dinner was a great success! The food was awesome, we had a great turnout, good conversation, laughter, and a lot of fun. I want to send out a ‘Thank You’ to all the club members, and family members, that attended. It was especially nice meeting the spouses and family members of many of our new RIMLC members. I also wanted to send out a big Thank You to the American Legion, Post 302, in Rehoboth MA, for allowing us to use their facilities and for being wonderful host. I hope to see you all next year!

RIMLC’s longtime former President, Buck Foster, passed away on December 25. Calling hours and services will be held at Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. Calling hours will be Sunday, January 5th, from 2 to 4pm. Services will follow at 4pm.

I wanted to extend some ‘Thank You’s’ to the many people that made this season’s Action Shooting matches a great success. This match would not happen if weren’t for the following people.

To all the competitors:

Thank you all for your camaraderie, taping, resetting, grabbing the timer, the tablet, stowing match gear, and most importantly, your sportsmanship and friendship. You guys are the best!

To the membership and RIMLC community:

Thank You for allowing us to utilize the facilities, which allows us to promote fi****ms recreation and fun. Your support, financial and otherwise, has been crucial to our success. Thank You All!

To the Match Staff:

I know it’s cliche’, but last, and certainly not least, I want to Thank all the RIMLC members (and some non-members) - Ladies and Gentleman all - that gave their; time, attention, efforts, suggestions, stage designing, stage building, stage running, scoring, prop fixing, grass mowing, w**d whacking, trash throwing, tent raising, table setting, steel painting, and attending to all the other details and task that have to be accomplished to put on a match. You guys are even better than the best!

I speak for all of us when I say we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it when competitors come up to us at the end of a match and say ‘Thank You’. It means a lot to us. I know it’s cliche’, but it makes it all worthwhile! Thanks.
