And the flounder are starting to make an appearance too!

Tuesday’s full day trip on the Capt Bob II decided to stay inside and fish for flounder. The fishing was decent with a lot of shorts, but most anglers managed to put flounder in the box.
Planning on heading out this weekend so call for a reservation today.

On Saturday the bite continued to be good for Black Sea bass with the keeper ratio being a bit more challenging. But everyone pulled a good catch over the rail. Even the flat fish is starting to make an appearance now.
We had a mechanical issue when we hit the inlet but Capt. Bert and Capt. Chris pulled another rabbit out of their hat and got the Bob back up and running and ready for the next fishable day.
Call 302-226-2214 to make a reservation.

Capt. Chris wasn’t expecting much of a trip on Sunday with a bumpy ride out and the full moon slowing fishing down. But once at the the Del Jersey the slow steady bite turned on and it became a great day. Some people had their limits with many others coming close to reaching theirs.
Overall it turned out to be a great day.

The full day on the Capt. Bob II fished in the fog yesterday out at the DelJersey for seabass. The bite was off to a good start, but then the tide changed which made everyone work harder to catch fish. Overall it was a productive day on sea bass with 2 flat fish that were convinced to bite the hook and come over the rail. The biggest flounder measured 17” caught while jigging.

In between getting the Judy V. done Capt. Chris went fishing for Black Sea bass on the Capt. Bob II this past Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Saturday and Sunday were great days with fair amounts of personal limits while others averaged around 10 per person. Monday was a bit tougher but they still managed to find some fish and make a good day out of it.

After many months of hard work Capt. Chris and his crew finished the Judy V. She is finally done, back in the water and the Coast Guard has given the green light to run. Sadly, this week into the weekend’s weather doesn’t look like it is going to cooperate.
But here are some pictures of the work in progress for your enjoyment.

Opening day of black Seabass season was a bit slow due to the choppy conditions. We were unable to get offshore that day, so the boat had to stay inshore and worked hard to bring home some fish.
The next day, the weather cooperated more and we were able to get out offshore to better Seabass grounds which produced a very decent catch.
Then the wind blew for five days and we were stuck at the dock.
On Sunday the weather conditions improved and we were able to get out offshore again heading offshore to the Del-Jersey on the Capt. Bob.
Limits of black Seabass were caught by some and most had a very good catch.
Here’s hoping the weather lets us get out some more.
Don’t forget, to ensure you get a spot on the boat please call to make a reservation.
