She did it! (She and it )!

The race (aside from wind and rain)? Perfect. Lauren is a human metronome. Ex*****on was top notch!

Getting to the start? That was the hard part. This was Lauren’s 5th marathon training cycle but only her 2nd marathon. Pandemic/injury/stress fx/illness derailed her plans each time. Even with this training cycle we had to get creative! (S/o to .sportspt for taking such great care of her!)

Lauren is as calm, tough, and methodical as they come. It’s not easy to take training one week at a time but she did. And on Sunday she showed up with the same tenacity that powered her through those last 5 training cycles.

Congratulations, Lauren! Proud doesn’t even scratch the surface. You are free to leave the bubble now 😂😂!

This is Claire on her way to becoming an Ironman! Pure joy. Always. Even in the Jacksonville heat.

We trained last year for Hardman* (Ireland) and then the swim was canceled at the last minute due to weather. Disappointing for sure but not enough to deter Claire from becoming an Ironman.

Claire set her sights on Jacksonville. She rolled her ankle on a run, had to take a few weeks off, and we jumped back in and made the most of the remaining weeks. Claire was still laser focused.

Jacksonville was hot. And Claire fought to keep fuel down (unsuccessfully) beginning at mile 9. Still undeterred, she fought her way to the finish.

This picture encapsulates what it’s like to coach Claire ❤️. Joy, happiness, optimism, and pure grit. Congrats, Claire. You. Are. An. Ironman!

*I am not a tri coach 😂. I coach Claire for the marathon. S/o to for taking care of her!

looking fab post-Eugene Marathon! Putting this in a permanent square to illustrate what a mental game the marathon really is. Late in training, Amanda’s stress bucket got heavy and training, understandably, felt hard. She questioned even running Eugene (which is her favorite marathon). So we pivoted and didn’t focus on performance. No pressure; just enjoy your favorite race. It worked - beautifully 🤩. Original goal was 9:00 pace. Amanda ended up running 9:30 avg (“never in a million years would I have believed I was capable of that!”).

Sometimes it helps to turn off your brain and just go. Mind > matter indeed!

This is deserving of a permanent square. Team RTLRC at this year’s 💙💛. (L to R: Christie, Lisa, and Katie). Meeting your athletes in person after coaching them for several years (Christie - 2, Lisa - 8, Katie - 6 years) is really something special. We’ve been through so much together. It’s an honor to be their coach. Cheers to The Boston Babes! Kick ass tomorrow 💪

There has been some confusion, so we would like to reintroduce ourselves: we are the Conshohocken Running Club ('Conshy Running' for short) and were founded in 2014. We host three runs each week: a Tuesday track workout (hosted by our very own running coach (Kristy Campbell of Run The Long Road Coaching), a Thursday social run at the Conshohocken Brewing Co., and a Sunday bRUNch run in various locations. We do not host a group run on Saturday - that is a different group. We welcome runners of all abilities, so come join our group (Conshy Running on FB, conshy_running on Instagram) and come out for a run! All paces, all faces are welcome!

I’ll post more in my stories but this deserves some permanent square space. Both and were supposed to run but came down with illnesses right before the race. We made the tough decision to rest, recover, and pivot. Luckily they both got spots in the sold-out Rehoboth Beach Marathon (s/o to Mary Beth, the most amazing RD!). Pivoting turned out rather well for both — and they got better weather than Philly!

This is truly remarkable ❤️. and I started working together back in 2016. She came to me with a 2:43 half marathon PR (from 2016). Today she ran a 1:57:55!!!!!!!!!! Her grit and commitment is undeniable.

Not only did she run a sub-2:00 but this was a 6-min PR from 2021!

Congratulations, Natisha!!!!

“To Katie ~ Time to dominate! ~ Love, Jamie” ➡️ that’s what the gift card from Katie’s husband (then fiancé) said. That was back in 2019. Then came the pandemic and no races. Katie and I didn’t start working together until June 2021 for .

Nothing but grit right here! This weekend was supposed to run the Pocono Marathon. Before it was even cancelled, she declared that she was running a marathon this weekend. Race or no race.

It’s humid in Philly today. That first smack of humidity that catches you off guard. Jen ran an easy breezy sub-4:00 and looks like she barely broke a sweat!
-
Congrats, Jen! FriYAY indeed 😄
