Creative Motion Dance Providing students with professional, quality dance instruction in a welcoming, wholesome environment.

Creative Motion has been serving the Reedsburg area since May of 2002 and is very excited to be entering its 20th year of continued commitment to educating the students of the Reedsburg community and beyond in the art of dance and performing. Cathy Roe Ultimate Dance Challenge 'Best Choreography' winner, Kari Goodman, graduated from UW-River Falls in 2001 with degrees in Marketing, Speech Communication and Theatre Arts and Dance Education. She has continued her education through training courses like Dance Educators of America Teacher Training Program at UNLV. She has also enjoyed performing and choreographing professionally for the Chicago Club Dinner Theatre, in addition to choreographing for competitive show choirs, and the Reedsburg and Hillsboro High Schools' musical productions. Creative Motion offers their students many exciting performing and educational experiences throughout the studio year. Creative Motion Dance has traveled multiple times to NYC to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, participate in a Flash Mob in Times Square, and take classes at Broadway Dance Center. They have also made multiple trips to Disney World to participate in their performing arts program and perform on the Waterside Stage in Disney Springs. We are so excited to be celebrating out 20th year in Reedsburg and have so many amazing things in store for the upcoming year!

💜 There's a LOT more happening in toddler dance class than you might think!

Marching to the music. Shaking an egg shaker. Crawling through a tunnel. Learning when to stop and when to go.

To little ones, it's all FUN! 🎶

But behind those giggles and wiggles, they're developing rhythm, coordination, body awareness, listening skills, confidence, and so much more.

At Creative Motion, we believe even our littlest dancers deserve thoughtful, age-appropriate dance education. Every activity has a purpose, even when it looks like we're just playing!

🎨 LOOK WHAT ART HAS BEEN UP TO! 🎨

There's been a whole lot of creativity happening at Creative Motion lately!

Our young artists have been exploring watercolors, mixed media, clay and more — learning new techniques, experimenting with different materials and creating some pretty amazing masterpieces along the way! 🖌️

And the grown-ups? They've been having plenty of creative fun, too!

From whimsical clay ghost tea light holders 👻 and spooky spiderweb paintings 🕸️ to travel mugs perfect for taking those warm beverages on the road ☕, our Adult Art classes have been embracing the season!

And they're not finished yet — there's even a witchy watercolor project in the works! 🧙‍♀️

✨ A NEW 6-WEEK ADULT ART SESSION BEGINS NOVEMBER 5! We'll be sharing a sneak peek at the upcoming projects soon!

🤸‍♀️ Apparently, our grown-ups have been paying attention! 😂💜

During Parent Participation Week, we invited our Tumble & Hop parents to experience some of the acro skills their dancers have been learning.

Participation was completely optional, but FOUR of our six grown-ups decided to show us their cartwheels!

And can we talk about those FINISHES?! 👏

Turns out, while Miss Kari was correcting the dancers' technique, the parents were listening, too! 😂

But the BEST part? Listen to those cheers! 🥹

There's something pretty special about watching children cheer for their parents, parents cheer for one another, and everyone celebrate the courage to try something new.

💜 Parent Participation Week is one of my FAVORITE weeks of the year! 💜

There's something so special about inviting our dance families into the classroom to experience firsthand what their dancers do each week!

Not only do our grown-ups get a chance to see what their kiddos have been learning, but they get to TRY it themselves! And let's just say, they often leave with a whole new appreciation for the coordination, strength, concentration, and hard work that goes into those seemingly simple movements! 😉

But my favorite part? Watching the pride on our dancers' faces as THEY become the teachers! They're so excited to show off what they know, share what they've learned, and help their grown-ups along the way. 💜

Today, our Tumble & Bop class welcomed 10 grown-ups alongside our 8 dancers, and what a wonderful way to kick off another day of family fun!

A HUGE thank you to all of our Creative Motion families who are willing to jump in, try something new, laugh a little, and make memories with their dancers. You're helping make this week so special! 💜

🍁 A little sunshine, a little sweat, and a whole lot of movement! ☀️💃

Yesterday, Creative Motion had the pleasure of bringing some dance fitness fun to SOAC's very first Fall Friend-zy!

Miss Kari, Miss Chelsea, and Miss Courtney were on hand to lead the dancing fun, turning up the music, getting bodies moving, and sharing a few laughs along the way!

From our youngest movers to our most grown-up participants, it was a wonderful reminder that movement is for EVERY body, and having fun is what it's all about! ❤️

A big THANK YOU to SOAC for inviting us to be part of this inaugural community event!

Whether we're in the studio or volunteering our time out in the community, we believe in the power of movement to bring people together.

Here's to more music, more movement, and more opportunities to connect! 🍂

💗At four years old, she doesn't need anyone to tell her she's beautiful, capable, or worthy. She already believes it. Our job is to help her never forget.🩰

A brand-new dance outfit. A mirror. A little voice happily counting to eight, over and over again.

And a little girl who is absolutely loving being herself. ✨

There's something so beautiful about that kind of confidence. No comparisons. No worrying about being perfect. Just pure joy in the moment.

At Creative Motion, we teach dance steps, rhythm, coordination, and technique. But we hope we're teaching something even more important along the way.

To believe in yourself.
To celebrate what makes you unique.
To recognize that you have something special to contribute.
To appreciate others without comparing yourself to them.
And to know that your worth has never depended on being the best in the room.

Because the greatest thing we can help our dancers discover isn't just what their bodies can do.

It's how wonderful it is to be exactly who they are. 💕

May she always look in the mirror with that much joy. And may we help every child who walks through our doors find a little of that same confidence. 🩰

🩰 Not every dancer will grow up to be a professional dancer. And that's the beautiful part. 💕

Some will become teachers. Some will work in healthcare, start businesses, create art, or change the world. And some may grow up to teach the next generation of dancers.

But every one of them will take something from the dance floor into whatever comes next.

Confidence to try something new.
Discipline to keep working when things get hard.
Resilience to get back up after a fall.
Courage to step outside their comfort zone.
And the understanding that being part of a team means lifting others up, too.

We may be teaching pliés, pirouettes, and choreography today, but the lessons reach far beyond the studio walls.

Because at Creative Motion, we're not just teaching dancers.

We're helping shape the people they'll become. 💗

And we can't wait to see where their journeys take them. ✨
