🚤 Important Update – Fall Dock Removals 🚤

After many years of serving you through Patriot Shore Services, I’ve reached a new chapter. Yesterday, I officially sold Patriot to Travis Cooper.

This isn’t just a business handoff — it’s something I care deeply about. Patriot was built on integrity, reliability, and service, values rooted in my Army background and carried through every job we’ve done. What gave me peace about this decision is that Travis and his wife, Alana, live out those same values.

Travis brings 25+ years of marine industry experience, and I truly believe he’s the right person to continue what Patriot stands for. I’ll be working alongside him during the transition, but he’s ready to hit the ground running and earn your trust this season.

The EXTORTION 17 Memorial Run/Ruck is on Wednesday August 6, 2025 to Sunday August 31, 2025. It includes the following events: Virtual 3.1 Mile Run/Walk, Virtual 3.1 Mile Ruck, Virtual 31 Mile Run/Walk, and Virtual 31 Mile Ruck.

After 10 incredible years, we’ve made the heartfelt decision to close Patriot Shore Services.
Our journey with Patriot has been amazing, and we are deeply grateful for the loyalty and friendship of our customers over the years. As we shift our focus to Sandstone Rustic Retreat—the dream my wife and I have been building together—we want to sincerely thank you for being such an important part of our story.

We also want to be respectful of your time and fall planning needs. By sharing this update now, our hope is to give you ample time to secure an alternative provider for dock and lift removal this fall.

If you’ve paid for a service that has not yet been completed, please reach out to me directly at [email protected]. We’ll work together to either complete the service or arrange a refund—whichever makes the most sense for your situation.

We'll...today's the day. The final push. This season has been racked with challenges and struggles to say the least. Called up the finishers to help get her across the finish line. Huge shoutout to Joe Goodman and Michael Kirschbaum for getting 2/3 of The dream team back together. Here's to quality individuals coming through! sometimes it’s more about the
"who" than the "how".

Big shoutout to my friend Ed the Diver for going above and beyond—he made a 7.5-hour round trip to La Valle today to help us recover tools and key components for a big project we’ve got lined up. While he was here, he even took the time to clean up trash from the lake bottom near the launch. That’s the kind of guy he is, and we’re incredibly grateful for his help.

We had a rough day yesterday with a major equipment failure that could habe resulted in serious injuries to our crew on Redstone. Unfortunately this has our boat temporarily off the water for emergency repairs. The good news is—we have three solid options on the table to stay on track and meet our Guarantee.

This may push us right up to the deadline, but rest assured, we’re fully committed to finishing the season as promised, and there’s no need to make alternate plans. Our customers hire us so they don’t have to worry about their waterfront equipment—that’s exactly why we’re here. This is our problem to solve, not something you need to deal with at the 11th hour.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding—more updates coming soon!

Another long day on the river searching for Frank. Unfortunately the area south of Portage didn't turn up a single indication from Ruby or Velto. We ran from Pine Island boat launch to the i90 bridge and other than one area of interest that all the dogs have wanted to check out more, still nothing...

Really starting to think he's pinned up again a rock shelf or log jam...there's surely more of those than dry land right now. Our Prayers will continue as the search continues.

As of this morning, our team is once again assisting with the ongoing search and recovery mission for Frank Di Filippo, the young man lost on the Wisconsin River after his heroic attempt to save his grandfather after their boat capcized four weeks ago.

We’re hoping and praying that today is the day we bring him home. Great Lakes K9 Search and Rescue is back with us again, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued dedication and support.

We also want to extend heartfelt thanks to one of our loyal customers and friends who graciously allowed us to use his boat to aid in the search. That kind of kindness does not go unnoticed — and speaks volumes about the community we’re proud to be part of. I'd also like to recognize Richie Sikorski for his tireless commitment to stepping into a leadership role a coordinating the volunteer efforts. His knowledge of the river and his his huge heart are truly blessings.

Operationally, we remain on Jordan Lake through Monday. Once we wrap up there, we’ll resume our route with stops at Lake Redstone, the Wisconsin River, Lake Mason, and Lake Delton.

Thank you for your continued patience, support, and understanding as we balance our spring install schedule with the responsibility to help a family in need.

In between installation jobs, we’ve been helping with search efforts for Frank Di Filippo — a young man who went missing while trying to save his grandfather on the Wisconsin River.

This hits close to home for us. Losing a child changes you forever, and our own experience makes us feel deeply compelled to help Frank’s family bring him home.

Some days it depends on weather and resources. But the heart behind it? That never changes.

As a veteran, I once took an oath to protect and defend those who can’t defend themselves. That mission hasn’t ended.

If not me, who? If not now, when?

Among those aiding in the effort are Juan and Mercedes Heredia, a couple from California who run Angels Recovery Dive Team, a volunteer nonprofit dedicated to recovering loved ones lost in the water.
