June 6, 2026.... Well we finally got the car to stop overheating, so now we can focus on other issues, which seem to pop up. After the 1st practice session, Corey came in with oil on is pant cuff. Realized it was the Oil pressure line that had a small crack in it under the dash. So rather than trying to replace the line, we just plugged it off the back of the motor, but Corey missed the second practice.
He qualified 11th out of 19 cars.
For Heat, he started on the outside front row, and managed to pick up the heat, but now was saying there was vibration in the car.
We looked but could not find anything. Told him to just run the car.
For the feature we started on the outside of row 5. On the second lap, a car blew and engine going into turn 3. Was a lengthy 25 minute cleanup. On the restart lap, Corey spun in the oil residue on left on the track.
Restarting in the back, a car did not come up to speed and held us back.
Because of the amount of cautions and length of the oil cleanup, the next yellow flag ended the race.
Corey was it, the car he had passed, must've decided he didn't like getting passed and nailed Corey in the rear bumper causing another yellow and the checkered flag to fall. We were running in 6th before the flag, but ended up 10th.
All in all a good night. Overheating issued solved, won the heat, and car is in 1 piece to race another night. Unlike some other cars that did not fare wall.
