Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Chigger Ridge!🤠🍗🦃.
As I have resolved to my recliner, thankful to still be upright and enjoying my kids and grandkids.
Miss Debbie’s meal was an event! I am stuffed akin to that turkey and the honeyed ham delicious. I figure to go grazing on the pies and cakes when I awaken from my food coma.

Well it looks like the spam posts are taking over my page.
So I’ll post one myself. I figure a lot of y’all wonder if the range is available.

It is.

Prices are the same as last year. I’m trying to fight the inflation on targets, paint, and fuel to get to them and maintain them.

Range use is $20.00 per hour. Not per person. If 4 of you can zero your rifles in an hour then it’s just 20 bucks.

Instruction on long range shooting is $50 per hour.

Steel and armor plate targets from 200 - 500 yards.

Appointment required. Serious shooters only.
Spray and pray shooters go somewhere else.

I don’t believe the political polls. The poll questions typically are slanted to elicit a particular response.

I don’t believe 90 % of the media reports. The broadcast media is owned by folks who want their spin on what we see as “news”.

I don’t believe the big pharma ads. It looks to me they are creating a market for their drugs. They find some obscure malady and market the s**t out of it so the hypochondriacs will pay big bucks for it.

I don’t believe we need to be helping Ukraine. I think the US should stay out of it. I sure don’t want US boots on the ground there.

I don’t believe the anti-Israel protesters really believe in Hamas/Hezbolah’s rhetoric. I figure they’re being paid by the Islamic radicals. Protesting is looking more like a business.

I don’t believe that Congress critters are ethically becoming millionaires on their salaries. I find that despicable. Critters are in the beltway for their own gain and really don’t give a s**t about us.

And thus is my Tuesday rant.

So here’s what’s happening. And why I haven’t really posted in a while. I’ve been in a battle for the past 16 months. It’s tough enough trying and succeeding to beat a stroke. But I have done so.
The new battle is against stage 4 prostate cancer. I’ve been in the fight for over a year. They tell me we’re winning. The therapy was a bit harsh in the beginning, but as the lab numbers get better then the pills get fewer. Fewer pills mean fewer side effects.

All that being said I know a lot of you that follow Chigger Ridge are looking at getting on the range and preparing for the upcoming hunting seasons. Or preparing for possible ramifications of the upcoming elections.
Either way we’d best be prepared.

I’ll start taking appointments for dates on September 1st. The rifle and pistol ranges will be available. Rifle range to 500 yards. Pistol to 50 and 100.

I’ll still provide instruction by appointment.

Range fee, rifle or pistol is $20.00 per hour. Instruction is still $50.00 per hour.

Registration for the 203D Reunion on 16-17 August, at Downstream Casino, is up and active! Use the QR code or link below. The Missouri National Guard Association (MONGA) has graciously allowed us to use their site to register and pay online. When you register, you will pick your meal option, you can register for the golf tournament, and have the option to be a hole sponsorship. Take the time to read through the info here and on the registration site. Then, feel free to direct any questions to me but direct any complaints to Michael Brown. 😁

A couple of notes:

• Golf tournament is 16 August and is limited to 100 players, so get your team signed up early! No team? That's ok, we'll pair you up. Check in at 0800, shotgun start at 0900.

• If you sponsor a hole, make sure you email Ray Harding with any logo or info you want on your sign. We'll make the signs, don't bring your own. (His email is on the registration site)

• Everyone is responsible to make their own hotel reservations. We have some blocked rooms at the government rate at Downstream Casino. Call 918-919-6000 and use group code "ENBN24". There is also an RV park on site and other hotels nearby.

• In the near future, we will post an agenda for Saturday (17 August), golf flyer, and a "things to do in the area" list for the family members that are there on Friday but not playing golf.

• BG (Ret) William "Bill" Ward is honored to be our guest speaker!

• Help spread the word to all Houn Dawgs by tagging, sharing, emailing, texting, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, etc.

• Registration will be cut off on 1 August for the banquet and either 1 August or when we hit 100 golfers for the tournament, whichever comes first.

I rarely see original posts these days and I'm just as guilty for just sharing things that I deem humorous or reflecting my views. That's just laziness on my part.

So, some thoughts (opinions) of my own:

There should be NO Career Politicians. We need leaders, not someone getting elected to get rich on the government teat. Therefore term limits are warranted.

The mainstream media wants to taint your way of thinking. Do your own research. Form your own opinions and make your own decisions. Don't play party politics. There are indeed good folks out there that could serve us well in office.

How about age limits to serve in elected office? It's embarrassing to see the old codgers who have to have handlers to lead them around and make decisions for them.

The medical world tends to rely on pills and injections. Is this really what medicine should be?

Have you seen all the big pharma commercials? It seems that's all you see when you try to watch a game on the b**b tube. Kinda shows who has the money and who's trying to gain influence.

Cancer is not contagious. Don't avoid seeing friends and relatives because they are stricken with this. Give 'em some support. A lot of cancers can be beat.

There are way too many bureaucrats and bureaucratic entities in the government, milking taxpayer money and really not serving a realistic purpose. Too many alphabet agencies. Many being used as political enforcement by the current administration.

This has been fun. I may do this again.
