Spinnaker Sailing School and Club has been supporting the Bay Area sailing community for nearly 40 years! We offer weekday and weekend classes for sailors of all levels. A big shoutout to our very own Karin H.! ⛵💙

This past week, Karin successfully completed her first all women’s AS 101 Basic Keelboat class along with her well developed, “Beyond the Basics for Women” sailing seminar.

Karin is passionate about getting more women out sailing on the Bay and plans to continue creating opportunities for women to build confidence and enjoy the sport. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

As we wrap up Women’s Appreciation Month, we’re celebrating the women who are redefining what it means to be confident on the water.

A huge shoutout to our incredible instructor Karin H, who just led our first ever all women’s, two part sailing seminar, combining a Zoom classroom session with hands on dockside training.

Designed by Karin, this course is all about shifting perspective: making boats feel smaller, tasks feel more manageable, and building real confidence through repetition not just theory.

We will be offering this course again as well as continuing to build upon our community of women sailors through a new whatsapp group, and additional opportunities to come.
