A windy final day to cap off the 2026 WASZP CA States! We kept the regatta in our basin today due to the high wind gusts, we got creative making a funky starboard triangle course but it worked. Congratulations to the athletes for a well sailed regatta. A big thank you to 11th Hour Racing for supporting all our regattas this season and for helping us electrify the race course and reduce fuel. Today we used zero RC boats just electric marks! WASZP CA State Champs started today with some BIG breeze. We sailed 2 races before heading in when breeze got above 24kts. Really cool to see these boats move and to watch the athletes sail. Physics at work! A big thank you to 11th Hour for supporting our whole regatta series this year, it has really helped us develop a model for sustainability at regattas that starts with education.

Really excited for the 2026 CA State WASZP Championships this weekend! A big thank you to 11th Hour Racing for supporting our Sustainability efforts through regattas and sailing programs. We have worked hard at PYSF to learn how to make choices that promote a sustainable regatta and continue to provide quality racing and Fun! We are excited to have our electric RoboMark on the water to help us reduce our fuel usage, provide a great racing experience, and start a conversation on conservation and protection our oceans.

A great holiday weekend at PYSF! 5 Fevas at the RS Sailing North America fest, 12 c420’s at the all Bay Area c420 practice, 6 optis practicing and 3 Waszps sailing. A great weekend of fun, learning, and friendship.

PYSF hosted the first All Bay Area c420 practice of the season this weekend. We had sailors from St Francis, EYC and PYSF all training for 2 days with coach Cristian Noe. We had 19 Boats all come together to learn and get to know each other. Really excited to get the c420 BAY group together. A big thank you to StFYC Coach coach Parker for coaching as well.

What a fantastic weekend at the RS Sailing North America fest hosted by Richmond Yacht Club, CA! Huge thanks to Richmond Yacht Club, CA for an incredible regatta and to Zim Sailing and RS Sailing Official for the amazing boats. Our Middle School team rocked the Feva class in their first regatta of the season. Loads of lessons learned and great meeting fellow RS sailors, including Unstoppable Nancy on her Venture. Congratulations to all 7 boats from PYSF at the 2026 c420 PCCs! Every boat had their own good races and personal victories out on the Berkeley Circle this weekend. A special congratulations to Carter and Luca who finished 2nd, 1 Pt out of first, and to Mark and Arushi for finishing 6th out of 60 boats. It is great to see our community sailing program on the podium with travel teams and high powered YC’s. The sport is accessible to everyone and that is a great thing! GO PY! A big thank you to The San Francisco Yacht Club for hosting a great regatta in big breeze, well done!

So cool to see PYSF 1st and 4th out of 61 boats after day 1 at the c420 PCC’s The San Francisco Yacht Club. Three races in typical Berkeley circle conditions! PY has 7 boats at the regatta it is amazing to see the growth of the veterans and the wide eyes of the newbies on the circle. Excited for day 2!
