Aikido West

Aikido West Aikido West is the dojo of Frank Doran Shihan. It has been an educational nonprofit since 1978.

We teach the Martial Art of Aikido, including classes for kids and teens (see website for details). We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization affiliated with the California Aikido Association (division 2).

Here is video of Doran Sensei from 1994. He is teaching at the Cherry Blossom Seminar in Washington, DC. This is a very significant video to me (Bruce) since this is where I first saw Sensei, three years before becoming his direct student.

He was 61 years old, 6th dan, and had been practicing Aikido for 35 years at the time.
