Our quarterly Blue Zones Project Social Hour is less than a week away!

This event is open to all community members and is designed as an evening of connection, conversation, and community-building. As part of the gathering, we’ll also take a moment to recognize and celebrate our incredible BCHD volunteers who contribute their time and energy throughout the year.

We hope you’ll join us for good food and company and an opportunity to practice a few of the Blue Zones Project’s Power 9® Principles, such as Down Shift and Positive Pack, all while supporting a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant.

BCHD is moving forward with an agreement to enter into a ground lease with Sunrise Senior Living, selected after eight years of campus planning to redevelop the site and operate the new Residential Care Facility for the Elderly that will replace the old hospital building. This major milestone advances the long‑planned vision to modernize the campus into an intergenerational place offering a continuum of care across the lifespan — a place where people come to be well. The redevelopment will also help sustain BCHD’s free community health programs and services.
