My great uncle made a skateboard for my cousin back in the mid 70's as things often get passed down we ended up with the board in our garage. I thought it was cool and different I tossed on some new wheels and hit the streets.People really dug the old school deck and often asked if it was for sale. I took the original board and stretched it to a 36'' longboard.I smoothed out all the perimeter li

nes and the wheel wells to give it a sleek streamlined look.I wanted that traditional early skateboard look and feel I wanted to stick with solid hardwood.Turns out it's pretty difficult to bend solid wood into a skateboard.I made about a dozen decks sold them to friends and in a local surf/skate shop. A friend hit me up on FB wanting to know if I still had any boards and Havi Stix was back in business. Today I have the bending down to a science.I took my autobody and paint experience to create unique wood finishes. Havi Stix is dedicated to making a quality true handmade in the u.s.a.

This board is very smooth and very fast!!!
Always liked the short boards with huge wheels, great combo!
So much fun!!!

TBT• wow! A few days ago I got a call from San Diego this guy says he bought this board at a local swap meet, we chat for a bit he tells me it's signed "decks by dean" and it has some numbers on it looks like #500. Holy smokes!!!! I was like oh no buddy that's #005 the 5th deck ever made!😁 A long lost Havi found!
I'm still blown away and to say I'm stoked is a understatement!!😁😁😁
Special thanks to Sean for reaching out and I'm glad he's happy to have it in his collection of vintage skateboards. It's 25 years old showing some wear but in still in one piece and very rare🙏.
