AMAZING! That's all I can say about last nights game. Simply amazing. Had to pinch myself a few times afterwards to make sure I wasn't dreaming because that was by far the most well executed game plan and performance by any youth team in all my years as a coach. The boys clearly showed up to play last night and I couldn't be more proud of them. What a great TEAM performance. I know there's too many great plays to list, but aside from our running and passing, our entire offensive line deserves a HUGE shout out for not only protecting our qb on passing plays, but for winning the battle at the line of scrimmage against a very tough Skyline defense. On defense, Anakin stepped up big time to play a key position he's never played before with just 2 days notice prior to the game. He made some excellent plays! Phillip came up big on goaline defense to prevent Skyline from getting their extra point as he shot through the line so fast that he made the tackle in the back field right after the handoff! Gus came up with a big fumble recovery to give us back the ball late to control the clock. Cooper Johnson made some big tackles from the middle linebacker position. Nolan made some nice plays, Alec held down the middle gap, Breckin, Darek, Aidan and Anakin did a good job of protecting the perimeter, etc. Again, just an amazing TEAM win! Too much to list, but here are the stats:
